THE PRIVATE POLYMER PLATE WORKSHOP:

A technology mash-up: 21st century meets 15th century in this private tutorial. This workshop is for people who have a focused project in mind; such as posters, business cards, invitations, or artwork. Once you have plates created, you’ll print your design on my Vandercook No.4 letterpress, which you will learn to operate and clean. Proficiency with a vector graphics computer program is encouraged but no printmaking experience is necessary. more info

The focus of this winter’s letterpress project is book cover art. Everyone will bring a paperback of choice and redesign (and rebind) it using type and image cuts from my collection. This will be a trade edition, everyone will get a print of each participant’s letterpress cover.
